Hi there! Just came for a visit from our 727s group. Good playlist suggestions. I love A Perfect Circle! I don’t know too many people who know of them. I saw them twice in concert and they were a lot of fun. I have a lot of electronic music on my playlist currently: Kaskade, Tiesto, Roger Sanchez, Deep Dish, etc. Helps me keep an even tempo. Happy running and see you on the boards!
Thanks for visiting! I love APC! I got into them because I like Tool. I own all three CDs and am glad that there will be more after that long hiatus! For running I tend to like Rock music since I can ’sing’ along, but Electronic’s trance like beats also help me keep going.
That’s a great eclectic mix! I agree w/ OCNic that keeping an “even tempo” is very helpful. I just recently posted a few playlists w/ over 7 hrs of music for runners based on their running pace. The songs have a faster Beats Per Minute (BPM) so you don’t subconsciously slow down to the beat of a song. It has songs by some of the bands you listed like Gorillaz, Dandy Warhols (love Veronica Mars!), White Stripes and Beck. There are alternative/indie bands, but also rock and some R&B… The Killers, XTC, Kings of Leon, Kooks, Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Matchbox Twenty, Stones, Collective Soul, Spoon, etc. All songs are either inspirational, about running, or just fun.
